These Terms and Conditions apply to contracts for the purchase and use of digitally provided, AI-generated Murder Mystery Dinners via the website crime-and-dine.io . Statutory consumer rights apply. Deviating conditions of the customer do not become part of the contract unless the provider expressly agrees.

2. Essential Characteristics of Services

Crime & Dine delivers personalized digital content in the form of AI-generated Murder Mystery Dinners (story, character sheets, host guide, recipes) as PDF/ZIP downloads as well as temporarily as web-based view. The content is automatically created based on your information and provided via email/download link.

  • Character sheets and story for 4–10 players
  • Host guide with procedure, rules and preparation
  • Recipe suggestions with shopping lists
  • Digital delivery, no shipping of physical goods
  • Web access typically available for 90 days

Note on AI Content

Content is generated automatically (e.g., Google Vertex AI). Minor inconsistencies, variations or logic gaps are technically possible and not a guaranteed feature.

3. Contract Conclusion and Correction Options

  1. You configure your product and enter contact/player information.
  2. You review the order summary and are redirected to Stripe (payment service).
  3. By completing the payment process, you submit a binding offer.
  4. Acceptance occurs through order confirmation by email.

Technical steps for contract conclusion, input error correction as well as the availability of the contract language (German) are displayed in the checkout. The contract text will be sent to you by email and stored by the provider only as long as necessary for contract fulfillment.

4. Prices, Payment, Processing

  • Price per Player: 2,99 €
  • Total Price: 11,96 € € (4 players) to 29,90 € € (10 players)
  • Payment: Stripe payment methods (e.g., credit card, SEPA, etc.)
  • VAT: No indication according to § 19 UStG
  • Due: Immediately, before service provision

All prices are final prices.

5. Provision, Availability, System Requirements

  • Provision usually within 5–15 minutes after payment
  • Delivery via email/download link (PDF/ZIP)
  • Web view expected to be available for 90 days
  • Required: current PDF reader, internet access

Technical Issues

In case of unplayable results due to systemic errors, the provider will either improve or refund at their discretion.

6. Right of Withdrawal for Digital Content

For consumers, the statutory right of withdrawal applies. For digital content the right of withdrawal expires according to § 356 Para. 5 BGB if the consumer expressly agrees that the provider begins execution before the withdrawal period expires, and the consumer confirms their knowledge of the expiration.

Your corresponding consent is obtained in the checkout. Without consent, no execution takes place.

  • Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
  • Goodwill solutions for objectively justified complaints are possible.

7. Usage Rights (License) and Prohibited Uses

Upon provision, you receive a simple, non-exclusive, non-transferable usage right for private use of the respective game (incl. printing) for your game group. No commercial use.

Allowed

  • Private game evenings, club/school events without remuneration
  • Multiple use within your household/group
  • Group-internal sharing for game preparation

Prohibited

  • Resale, rental, public performance for remuneration
  • Upload/publication on the internet, distribution to third parties outside the group
  • Use as template for own/competing products, prompt reverse engineering
  • Training of AI models with the content

8. Warranty and Liability

Statutory warranty rights apply. For digital service provision, subsequent adjustment/improvement is permitted if reasonable.

Liability

Unlimited liability exists for intent and gross negligence, for damages from injury to life, body or health as well as according to ProdHaftG. In case of slight negligent breach of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to the contract-typical, foreseeable damage.

9. Data Protection

Information on the processing of personal data, legal bases, storage periods, recipients and your rights can be found in our Privacy Policy.

10. Customer Service, Complaints, ODR

11. Final Provisions

  • Applicable Law: German law excluding the UN Sales Law.
  • Jurisdiction: For merchants, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the provider's seat. For consumers, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies.
  • Changes to Terms and Conditions: Adjustments for objective reasons (e.g., legal situation/product) with notification by email. Right to object remains unaffected.
  • Severability Clause: The invalidity of individual provisions does not affect the validity of the remaining regulations.
  • Contract Language: German.
